I. Intro- Attribution to the activity of God by today s scientific community is almost unheard of. It seems that much of our society has a common mental dependency to thescientific reasoning of creation. II. Body A. Creation from Nothing…..The Puritans acted as if they NEVER doubted. We doubt, Why? Because we have the Smartest people in the world workingday and night to prove that 2/3 of the world s beliefs in God are wrong. B. Modern Physics explains- Matter simply canNOT be produced. Every reaction setsoff an equal and opposite REACTION. Therefore, Matter, and the earth could NOT havebeen created by a God . Because even GOD cannot make something from nothing. This is a widely accepted thought in the Scientific community. To most people, IT JUSTMAKES SENSE!! Why should people chew on the thought of a Far fetched God whenthey can just bite right in to scientific gibberish concerning the origin of Life. C. TV. TV is the central medium for Americans for their information and entertainment.I watch a moderate amount of TV. And I cannot recall the last time I heard even a
suggestion of the creation of the earth by God, or the act of following of God s will. Thisalone says a great deal about American s everyday life, and the dependency on God- it isminuscule Psalms 1. Oh, The joys of those who do not follow evil men s advice, who do not hangaround with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. But they delight in in doing everythingthat God wants them to, and day and night they are always meditating on his laws andthinking of ways to follow him more closely. They are like trees along a riverbankbearing Luscious fruit each season without fail. their leaves shall never wither, and all theydo shall prosper. But for Sinners! what a different story! They blow away like chaff beforethe wind. They are not safe on Judgment Day; they shall not stand among the Godly. Forthe Lord watches over all the plans and paths of Godly men, but the paths of the Godlesslead to DOOM. Conclusion- Bearing in mind the scripture that I just read, I humbly believe that since the timeof the Puritans, America has let it s spiritual leaves wither to a critical level.I think that any intelligent puritan would agree that this is why the Morals of manyAmericans have slowly gone down the drain.
