Реализация принципа наглядности при обучении аудированию на уроках английского языка в 6-7 класс (стр. 18 из 19)

Dinner usually consists of soup, fish or meat with vegetables — potatoes, green beans, carrot and cabbage, sweet pudding, fruit salad, ice-cream or cheese and biscuits. Then after a talk they have black or white coffee.

This is the order of meals among English families. But the greater part of the people in the towns, and nearly all country - people, have dinner in the middle of the day instead of lunch. They have tea a little later — between 5 and 6 o'clock, and then in the evening, before going to bed, they have supper.

So the four meals of the day are either breakfast, dinner, tea, supper; or breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner.

- Dj: Do you ever stop training?

- M: When I go to sleep.

- Dj: Do you have time to do other things, too?

- Hello. I`m Derek, a reporter for the music magazine “Sounds Cool”. We`re doing a survey to find out about teenagers` music habits. Can I ask you some questions?

- Yes.

- Ok. The first question: how important is music for you?

- Very important. I love it. I listen to it. I play it. In fact, I go to a music school where I learn a violin. I practice two or three hours a day. It`s hard work but I need it for my future job. I`d like to play in an orchestra when I finish school.

- Music in my life. Mmm… Difficult to say. I don`t sing, and I don`t play any musical instrument either. But anyway, I love music. Rock. Rock. Rock. I listen to in every dat. I can listen to it when I`m having breakfast, on my way to school, when I`m doing my home work, when I`m working on my computer, when I`m having a shower. The first thing I hear in the morning is the music of my hi – fi. You see, music is my whole life. It goes everywhere with me.

- Music is great. I love it. I`ve been collecting CDs since I was ten. Now I`ve got 57. I got my first CD as a birthday present. There was my favourite band “Backstreet Boys”. I listen to them and sing with them. I wish I`ve been to their concert, but my mum said, “Stop that! Why don`t you listen to other bands? I`m tired of this one”. And she bought me another CD.

- I always go to concerts. Always. I never miss any pop concert in our town. Every time a band or a singer comes here, I buy a ticket. Listening to alive music is much better than listening to a CD.

- Thank you. And now let`s talk about the types of music you like to listen to…

- Hi.

- Now, I know that your group is quite popular in Omsk, and you had several successful tours to the USA. You`re a Russian group, but you sing in English. It`s a bit strange, isn`t it?

- Well, it all started when I learned at school. I loves the “Beatles” and listened to their music all the time, and wanted to understand it. So, I learned more and more English. I asked my parents to buy me a guitar. So, I could play like the “Beatles”.

- Did they?

- No. But my aunt did.

- And old were you then?

- I was fourteen. The boy next door was mad about the “Beatles, too.” And we dreamed about being in a band and…

- And your dream come true?

- Yeh. We started in 1977 when I was at University. There were three of us. We played at lots of parties.

- I know the year 1985 was important for you. Why was that?

Аудиотекст 9

I've known my best friend, Barbara, for my whole life, for 12 years to be exact. She was born a week later than me. She lives next door. So I don't remember how and when we met for the first time because we were just little babies, but I remember that she came to my birthday party when I was three or four and gave me a Barbie doll. She said that the doll had her name, Barbie, and that was why she'd chosen it as a present for me.

Wher's she like? ...Barbara's fun-loving, easy-going and kind. She's my only friend, who I can talk to about my deepest, darkest feelings. A while back, I was feeling very depressed, but because Barbara was there to listen, I could tell her all about it and once I'd got it all out, I felt so much better.

Barbara's kind of a punk. She always wears black leather jackets, silver chains, bright red hair and she always looks cool.

We do everything together: walk to school, listen to music, watch videos, go on the Internet, go out, go away on holiday, go shopping, even do some cooking together. We have our birthday parties together on the same day.

Barbara's my very best and true friend because she's someone who can keep a secret, who hears what I say and who understands problems. She is really very sweet. We've known each other all our lives, so we know each other inside out. So she can tell what I'm feeling and she knows when it's right to talk and when it's right to listen. We can do everything together.

And she's the COMPLETE opposite of me. You know they say opposites attract. She's always there to talk to me, share secrets with me, laugh, play... and just hang out with me.
