Вправа 75. Перекладіть речення українською мовою, беручи до уваги переклад займенників some, any, no та їх похідних.

Have you noticed any changes? 7. Have you got any money on you? 8. Is there any letter for me? 9. There is not any butter left.

2.3. Вказівні займенники

Вказівні займенники this, that, these, those, such a, such, the same мають граматичні ознаки числа і тому вони узгоджуються в числі з дієсловом чи іменником залежно від того, яку функцію виконують: визначника іменника чи замінника іменника.

Примітка. Займенник that (those) може перекладатися іменником, якщо він виконує роль замінника іменника, що передує йому, щоб уникнути його повторення.

Вправа 77. Перекладіть речення українською мовою. Зверніть увагу на переклад вказівних займенників.

1. This hotel is very expensive. 2. Do you like these shoes? 3. This is a nice hotel. 4. Who is that? 5. What shoes do you like? These or those? 6. All this is very interesting. 7. Try on one of these dresses. 8. That bicycle belongs to him. 9. Those chairs are ours. 8. The pictures painted by Rembrant and those by Rubens have very little in common.

2.4. Займенники many, much, few, little

До кількісних займенників належать: many, much — багато; few, little — мало; a few, a little — декілька, кілька, трохи.

Займенники many та few вживаються із обчислюваними іменниками, much та little вживаються з необчислюваними іменниками. Всі ці займенники мають граматичні форми ступеня порівняння: вищий і найвищий.

2.5. Означальні займенники

all, another, both, each, every, either, neither, other

До означальних займенників належать: all — весь, another — інший, both — обидва, each — кожний, every — кожний, either — кожний з двох, neither — жоден (з двох).

Вони виконують функцію визначника іменника, входячи до складу іменного словосполучення, а також можуть бути замінником іменника, виконуючи функції підмета або додатка речення.

Вправа 79. Знайдіть у реченні означальні займенники та визначіть, у якій функції вони вживаються. Перекладіть речення українською мовою.

1. He comes here every day. 2. Each time he asks me the same questions. 3. There was a building on either side of the square. 4. There were huge buildings on each side of the street. 5. There is a forest of oak-trees on both banks of the river. 6. Both his hands were busy, he greeted me with a nod. 8. Give me another number of the magazine. 9. 2.6. Питальні та відносні займенники

Займенники who, whom, whose, what, which одночасно являються питальними та відносними. Як питальні вони вживаються у питальних реченнях, а як відносні вони приєднують підрядну частину складнопідрядного речення до головної частини. Займенники which, what вживаються стосовно неістот і перекладаються: what ^〈^якийте_,що^;which〈 котрий^який;₍із₎.
